Duration: 27 months - 01.01.2023 to 31.03.2026 The project brings together 7 partners from 7 countries: Greece, France, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Albania and Portugal.
The WE GO COOP project, co-financed by the Interreg Euro-MED programme promotes the implementation of Wetland Contracts, a multilevel collaborative governance tool tested in various EU-funded projects, fostering the exchange of experiences and the transfer of tools and instruments to new contexts in the Euro-Mediterranean region (Croatia, Portugal, Albania) and in the Middle Eastern and Southern Mediterranean regions.
The project aims to:
Establish a Community of Practice (CoP) among actors engaged in Wetland Contracts at the Mediterranean level, capitalizing on the outcomes of previous projects, sharing challenges and solutions.
Find out more about the Memorandum of Understanding, signed by all project partners, which formalises the creation of the Community of Practice. |
Create a virtual collaborative platform for the Community of Practice, where experiences, methodologies and strategies on collaborative wetland management are shared, opening up the possibility of a common working framework. Visit the We Go Coop collaborative platform here.
|
Transnational co-operation is the tool through which WE GO COOP builds the CoP, bringing together the perspectives of different territories facing similar challenges, allowing the project to respond to the needs of wetlands and guaranteeing the transferability of its results.
Check out the project's Policy Brief, which sets out strategic recommendations on wetlands conservation through participatory governance models – Wetland Contracts – which are voluntary agreements between public and private entities that help to optimise the implementation of land use policies in terms of local, concrete and sustainable actions.
