Duration: 24 months
The project brings together 5 partners from 5 countries: Italy, Portugal, Greece, Slovenia and Malta.

As a Strategic Partnership supporting Innovation, the project has the primary goal of allowing partners to design and test innovative intervention methodologies, aimed at improving the competences of community managers promoting local heritage-based inclusive development in vulnerable areas.

The project has the following Specific Objectives:

  • To create economic development opportunities, giving value to cultural heritage (VALUE).
  • To renew motivation of local communities, promoting participation and an entrepreneurial approach (ENGAGEMENT).
  • To promote inclusive local development, enhancing social and cultural diversity (INCLUSION).

Comm.On Heritage will carry out the following activities...

  • Mobility experiences;
  • Training activities (peer-to-peer), in each country;
  • Participatory processes in each country (Multiplier Events);
  • Surveys to experts, staff, leaders of local communities and citizens.

...and create the following outputs:

  • Guide for Local Managers, in vulnerable areas (semi-peripheral, rural), for creating inclusive development opportunities;
  • GeoTrail of Local Heritage;
  • Heritage Enhancement Toolkit;
  • Collaborative Digital Platform.

Each country involved in the project offers a different insight on vulnerable areas, allowing to design a complete competence profile of the community manager working in these specific contexts and to outline an innovative methodology, including main success factors and good experiences. The collaboration with professionals, coming from other cultures, encourages innovative readings of the local heritage.
